Barometric Pressure (Altitude) Switches
Aerospace Control Products, Inc. barometric pressure switches have been in service for over 45 years. This experienced product group includes over eighty (80) variations of the basic design, and they are used in a wide variety of applications.
A long service record exists on these units in airline, in business jet, and in other unique commercial and military applications. These units incorporate a sensitive aneroid capsule which responds to changes in absolute pressure/altitude. When pressure decreases (altitude increases), the capsule expands. This movement is transferred to a snap-action switch, which actuates the device to which it is connected. When pressure increases (altitude decreases), the capsule contracts, and the unit resets.
Options within this family of switches consist primarily of size, cased or uncased, pressure/altitude setting, electrical current carrying capacity, mounting method, and connector type.
